Dr. DeRosalia is the chief resident and Dr. Cheung is an assistant professor, both in the departments of urology and obstetrics and gynecology at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center and the Brooklyn VA Medical Center, both in Brooklyn.
While this congenital anomaly usually is detected in childhood, it is occasionally overlooked. This case illustrates the importance of thoroughly evaluating the adult with urinary incontinence and recurrent urinary tract infections.
