Women with MS may have increased subclinical disease activity during pregnancy

Key clinical point: During pregnancy and the postpartum period, women with multiple sclerosis have increased levels of serum neurofilament light.

Major finding: Serum neurofilament light levels were 22% higher during pregnancy and post partum, compared with before and after this period.

Study details: An analysis of data for 63 participants in the prospective Swiss MS Cohort Study.
