  • Oral bisphosphonates remain in our armamentarium for reducing fracture in postmenopausal patients

  • Ideal duration of therapy remains unclear

  • Counsel patients: up to 2 y of therapy reduces fracture risk; >10 y of therapy may increase fracture risk
