WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR PRACTICE?
Encourage pregnant patients to not go to sleep in the supine position, especially those who:
- are obese
- have medical complications of pregnancy
- have a history of prior stillbirth
- smoke
- are of advanced maternal age
