In this video, the authors show the 5 tasks involved in the fundamentals of laparoscopic surgery (FLS) manual skills exam and provide tips and tricks to achieve proficiency. The tasks are peg transfer, precision cutting, ligating loop, suture with extracorporeal knot, and suture with intracorporeal knot. The FLS manual skills exam assesses technical performance in laparoscopic surgery. ObGyn residents graduating after May 31, 2020, are now required to pass this exam to achieve board certification.
