Key clinical point: Media overexposure and other factors causing fear and stress are associated with severe sleeping problems.

Major finding: The strong association was found between severe sleeping problems and a high media exposure score (RR, 1.49; 95% CI, 1.10-2.01; P < .05).

Study details: Survey of 1,005 individuals in the COCONEL study.
