Osteoporosis prevalence in PsA similar to general population

Key clinical point: The range of bone mineral density in patients with psoriatic arthritis is within that seen in the general population.

Major finding: Among patients with psoriatic arthritis, 13% had a bone mineral density in the osteoporotic range.

Study details: Longitudinal cohort study in 201 individuals with psoriatic arthritis.
