CNS cancer outcomes worse for black and Hispanic children
Key clinical point: Racial/ethnic disparities appear to be key factors contributing to worse survival for children with CNS cancer.
Major finding: On multivariable analysis, black and Hispanic patients had worse survival, compared with white patients (hazard ratio, 1.39; P = .0014) and non-Hispanic patients (HR, 1.36; P = .0002).
Study details: A database analysis of 1,881 pediatric patients with CNS cancer.
