Comprehensive FISH probe found frequent secondary abnormalities in MCL samples
Key clinical point: Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), is characterised by the t(11;14) genetic abnormality. The clinical significance of the additional detected abnormalities is unclear.
Major finding: An expanded FISH probe panel detected additional abnormalities in 26/30 (86%) of patients.
Study details: Fluorescence in situ hybridisation (FISH) and immuno-histochemistry were performed on MCL samples from 30 patients.
