Mandatory OSA treatment for truckers lowers insurance costs

Key clinical point: Mandatory testing and treatment for OSA in truckers may be cost effective

Major finding: Truckers treated for OSA saw mean insurance savings of $441 per month in non-OSA–related costs.

Study details: A retrospective cohort study of records from more than 3,000 truckers screened for suspected OSA in a large commercial fleet.
