Childhood-Onset SLE Rate Higher in Children Born in Winter
Key clinical point: Frequency of childhood-onset SLE shows marked seasonal variation in birth months; adult-onset SLE does not.

Study details: This was a cross-sectional study of the birth months of 98 patients with childhood-onset SLE, 662 with adult-onset SLE, and 700 healthy controls.
