Coronavirus vaccine: The contenders, the potential controversy

With COVID-19 cases in the United States exceeding 5 million, much hope is being placed on the development of a vaccine. Dr. Campos-Outcalt describes the 5 vaccine candidates currently in rapid development through Operation Warp Speed, a private/federal initiative to substantially shorten vaccine development time. He also explains the safeguards in place to reassure the public that no “shortcuts” are being taken regarding vaccine safety.
