Young women with insomnia at higher risk for car accidents

Key clinical point: Insomnia symptoms and use of sleep medications is linked to motor vehicle accidents.

Major finding: Accidents involving women age 18-29 were associated with insomnia symptoms (HR, 1.83) and daytime sleepiness (HR, 2.42).
