OCT may help predict disease activity in CIS

Key clinical point: Baseline optical coherence tomography measurements may predict future disease activity and diagnosis in patients with clinically isolated syndrome.

Major finding: The hazard ratio of failing no evidence of disease activity criteria was 3.33 in patients in the thinnest GCIP tertile, compared with those in the thickest tertile.

Study details: A prospective, longitudinal study of 97 patients with clinically isolated syndrome from two centers.

Disclosures: Dr. Zimmermann had no relevant disclosures and did not report a source of funding for the study.
