Yoga is a good adjunct to migraine therapy

Key clinical point: Yoga plus antimigraine medication is more effective than medication alone.

Major finding: Mean headache days per month dropped by 49% in patients after addition of a yoga program to their standard antimigraine medications.

Study details: The single-center, open-label, 3-month, blinded-assessment CONTAIN trial included 160 adult episodic migraine patients randomized to standard antimigraine medications alone or with an add-on migraine-specific yoga program.
