PPIs associated with diabetes risk, but questions remain

Key clinical point: Patients taking PPIs may be at increased risk of developing diabetes.

Study details: Analysis of three prospective cohorts: The Nurses’ Health Study (80,500 women), the Nurses’ Health Study II (95,550 women), and the Health Professionals Follow-up Study (28,639 men).
