Psoriatic disease inflammation linked to heart failure

Key clinical point: Inflammation control in psoriatic disease might counter heart failure risk.

Major finding: Minimum disease activity was associated with a reduced risk for heart failure (hazard ratio, 0.40).

Study details: A retrospective, single-center study of 1,994 patients with psoriatic disease who were followed for new heart failure events for a mean of 11.3 years.
